JuryTap is operated by Andrew Q Crosley, doing business as JuryTap. We run paid online focus groups (mock juries) for law firms. People apply on our web screener, and those who opt in get text messages about the focus group they applied for. This page shows exactly how that opt-in works.
How people opt in
A person sees our recruiting ad or link and opens the screener for one study at app.jurytap.com/apply/ followed by that study's code. Each study has its own screener page, which closes when the study is full.
They answer eligibility questions, then reach the step "How to reach you", where they type their own name, email and mobile number.
Below the number is an optional, unchecked checkbox. Texts are sent only if they tick it. It is not required to apply; people who leave it unticked get email only.
When they submit, we store their consent with a timestamp on that application. The first text confirms the application and the opt-in.
We never buy, rent or import phone numbers. Only people who applied and ticked the box are texted.
The exact checkbox wording
I agree to receive text messages from JuryTap about this study: application updates, seat offers and session reminders. Up to 10 messages per study. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.
